In Durham, Kinark Child and Family Services can help children under 12 experiencing social, emotional, and or behavioural difficulties.
Services are provided to children who are living at home, youth living on their own in the community or children in residential care.
No referral is required.
Central Intake is the front door to services and is, like all of our services, completely confidential.
By calling the Central Intake line, families will link with a clinician who will guide them through the process.
Central Intake lines are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kinark office hours are the same.
Central Intake receives a high volume of calls, so please, if you are directed to voicemail, leave a message and a clinician will phone you back promptly.
Kinark provides programs and services for children, youth and families in Durham, Northumberland, Peterborough, Simcoe and York regions. Kinark operates the Syl Apps Youth Treatment Centre in Oakville and the Kinark Outdoor Centre in Minden, Ont. In addition, Kinark is the provider of Central East Autism Program for Ontario.
