This workshop will help mental health professionals prepare for online practice.
The session begins by reviewing the essential ethical considerations in online work. From there we will move to discussing the various modalities, their advantages and disadvantages and the challenges each presents.
There are a variety of software platforms available and we will look at some of the options, concluding with key questions that must be asked of providers before using their platform.
We’ll then shift to talking about marketing and the identity of your practice online; finding clients and connecting with referral sources (aka primary and secondary targets).
We’ll finish with a few words about insurance and jurisdictional issues.
