Description de l'évenement

As people navigate challenging times, some fare better than others. Drawing on the explosion of recent neuroscience research that bears on this issue, this workshop will take a look at why some clients are more resilient than others and how this research can be used to enhance psychotherapy outcomes. The workshop will look at how neuroscience has developed intersections between cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches, and will offer treatment strategies for dealing with resistances, rapid stress reduction, and fostering the development of a more authentic self. In addition, several Eastern healing traditions will be examined to understand how they can complement more traditional therapeutic work. The day is based in well-developed theory and research but is highly applied, offering strategies to help clients develop resilience in facing inevitable life challenges.
