Description de l'évenement

Speaker: Sue Johnson, Ed.D.

Join Sue for an exciting six week training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT). This course will outline the new science of adult bonding and how this science is applied in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), arguably the most extant, effective, empirically validated intervention for couples. The EFT model will be presented and illustrated with clinical examples and with a filmed demonstration of an EFT session as well as experiential exercises given for homework. Topics relevant to all couple therapists, such as how to deal with escalating conflict, emotional numbing and shut down, depression, sexuality and injuries such as affairs will be addressed.

Come and learn about the cutting edge of couple intervention – how to change the emotional music and the dance in a couples relationships and shape the dialogues that lead to secure lasting bonds. Research suggests that training in EFT leads to greater competence, confidence and personal growth in trainees.

Participants will be able to submit questions to Dr Johnson, and some of these will be addressed at the beginning of each following session.
